Shamrock plant: how to care for?

I have mine in Medium sun. It opens during the day, closes at night. It flowers, they die, and it flowers again. The soil always seems wet...never need to be watered

Just looking for some basic care tips...

Shamrock plant: how to care for?
The "Shamrock" plant is an Oxalis. They usually sell the green forms and the purple leaved forms. I can't grow them inside. I grow mine outside in SoCal. Some forms die back part of the year. Mine with the squarish leaves does not die back.

If your soils always seems wet, please make sure there is a drainage hole in the pot. Sometimes they are sold with a pot inside another pot. Plants must drain to be happy. It sounds like yours is mostly happy.

Good luck :-)
Reply:Hmm I never had one so I don't know!
Reply:I've found my shamrock to pretty hardy. I've cared for it indoors %26amp; out. Seems like you're doing the same with yours as I do with mine. Just fertilize it occassionally %26amp; water it when dry to the touch. Then. . .enjoy it !
