I personally hate Tito, but have never been that impressed with Shamrock either.
Who will win the UFC grudge fight between Tito and Shamrock, and why.?
I would love to see Ken win against Tito so he can shut him up and retire with the win of his career Tito has a big mouth and unfortunately he can back it up against Ken. Ken wont retire unless he is coming off a win but i think he has his work cut out for him with Tito. Tito won quite easily against ken but i think ken had some minor injuries that played a part as Ken never did anything that looked like he had a chance to win other than rocking with a right hand in the first round. I would much rather see a rematch against Tito and Chuck but Tito wants to get some wins under his belt first and after winning 2 close fights against Vitor (Vitor should have won)and Forrest. I think Tito needs a dominating win against someone to try and win back some of his fans before fighting Chuck. All that aside cant wait for the fight hope Ken submits Tito but Tito should win an easy fight unless Ken works a different game plan Ken might have a chance if he he takes Tito down and beats him at hes own game but it is not likely
Reply:tito ortiz is nowhere near the prime of his career. between griffin-shamrock, i say shamrock. griffin can't fight on teh ground
Reply:Tito is younger and stronger and he has a better cardio, last time he didn't have any problem to finish Ken so right know ken is so much older and he hasn't win anything the last 2 years so he can do something but I think that Tito won't have any problem to win this fight....
Reply:TITO ORTIZ WILL KILL SHAMROCK SIMPLY BECAUSE HE'S THE BEST
Reply:Unfortunately, this fight will not take place at UFC 61 as scheduled because Tito has injured his ACL and MCL. Forrest Griffin will instead take his place and put on a clinic against Shamrock.
If, and hopefully when, these two get back in the cage, I am not the biggest fan of Tito, but he will most undoubtedly win as he is at the prime age of his career for MMA and Shamrock is just an old shell of himself. Remember, Tito may seem like he's been around forever, but he started in the UFC at 22. He's only 32; compare that with Chuck Liddell who's 37 respectively and you see why Tito should be in his prime. Ortiz has also not fought much in the last 12-18 months so that means his body isn't worn down and has the drive to compete at the highest level. Shamrock has never been one to evolve MMA wise, as shown in his fight with Rich Franklin, and still thinks his style of fighting is good enough in today's world. Sadly, Ken Shamrock has passed his time and should sit back and let others fill the shoes he's left behind.
4/28/05 Update
Accoring to insidefighting.com, Tito Ortiz has contacted Dana White and has told him that his injuries are less severe than once thought and wants to fight Shamrock on July 8. Great news for those ready to see this rematch.
Reply:Tito will win,it will go the same way as the first fight pretty much, tito is a lot younger, shamrock is 42 and should probaly give it up.
