Respect him hell yeah, but do they fear him hell no
Reply:He was never any good at anything but knee bars and now that people know how to escape those he is a hack. His only notable wins are Bas Rutten and Kimo Leopoldo, and 26-13-2 is not a good record. He was never a good fighter and should have retired 10 years ago
Reply:Ken Shamrock is respected, yes.





He had the rough, iconic face that helped launch UFC in the early days.





He was terrible on the Ultimate Fighter 3. He came off really dumb, and inarticulate as a person. His Lion's Den is most pathetic.





The worst guy in the world is that nerdy blonde guy that accompanies Ken to all of his fights, cornerman. He always gets in the face of Tito or the Ref, and you can see he completely worships Ken. What a weirdo.
Reply:I think he respected for the most part. As far as being in the UFC hall of fame? Of course he should be there. He is a pioneer of mma. He was there from the beginning of the sport and the UFC. And has beaten some of the best mma fighters of all time.
Reply:The Ken Shamrock in the prime of his career that weighed about 235lbs. would no doubt beat anybody in the present UFC. He submitted Bas Rutten in like 3 minutes. Especially the old rules where they did not stand up fights, he would just pin you against the fence and kick the crap out of you.
Reply:Of course he did, I mean look at him, he had so many awesome fights, and also he fought before the Ufc even did the cleaning of the Rules, where they had Styles Vs Styles at the time. He is respected by many Ufc fighters, and other MMAist world wide, and deserves the right to respect. Some of the www.youtube.com videos are awesome as well. Thanks for your time.
Reply:well he is a former champion and one of the pioneers of the sport and one of the pionerrs of the ground game remeber in the origianl UFC besides shamrock gracies and dan severn not alot of gusy went to the ground much so if they dont respect him they know nothing of MMA
Reply:He definately was one of the best during his time, but that was only beacuse the pool of talent is so small because no one knew what MMA was all about.

Reply:His legacy has been tarnished over the years so I would say NO to some degree. First off whether it was through editing or not, he came off selfish %26amp; out of touch with today's MMA fighter on The Ultimate Fighter 3 as a coach. He only did the show to get Ortiz in a rematch, and he's a coach in the IFL?





Secondly, he should gotten out of the game after his first lost to Tito Ortiz but his pride wouldn't let him. Hell I still remember at the weigh-ins for Ortiz-Shamrock 3 he said win or lose he wanted to burry the hatred he had or Ortiz. I said it before %26amp; I'll say it again, it's not all that bad to talk smack about your opponent or give him a nasty stare down at the weigh-ins BUT when you go off saying stuff like that; you come off weak, scared, and not even sure if you are able to win which only makes the job of your opponent that much easier to beat you senseless.





And finally, what ever happened to The Lions Dens? Before American teams like Team Quest %26amp; Team HammerHouse were household names, there was The Lions Den. They had the baddest of the baddest fighters in the world who racked up Pancrase titles, early UFC tournement titles, ect., PLUS they were ahead of their time with the grapling techniques they were using. Then Ken went off to do the WWF thing %26amp; the camp fell apart. You don't even hear about The Lions Den in passing anymore, it's like they never existed.
