Are Frank Shamrock and Ken Shamrock brothers?

I was just wondering...I watch alotta past fights of both of these guys, and hear no mention if they are brothers. They kinda resemble one another, but Frank looks alot more darker, maybe having a european desent. Could someone please help me cleart this up?

No, they are not biological brothers. They were just both taken in by the same man who adopted Ken. Frank's real surname is Juarez, which he first fought under for the Tito Ortiz match.





Before this, they always answered the question with a short "yes" because they were both competing in the Pancrase organization in Japan. In Asia family is seen an almost magical connection, and at that time Ken Shamrock was like a rock star in Japan.





Also note that Frank refers to Maurice Smith and TK as his brothers.

Reply:They are brothers by adoption but not biological, the real name of Frank is Frank Juarez III and he was placed in various foster homes, group homes, and crisis centres. After all that he went to live with Bob Shamrock, who had taken in hundreds of troubled boys including Frank's older adopted brother Ken Shamrock, later Frank went to live with Shamrock at his home in Susanville, California, and was officially adopted by Shamrock at the age of 21, eventually he changes his last name for Shamrock, just as Ken did.
