Why can't I order a Shamrock Shake at my local McDonalds?

they only offer them in March for St. Pats.

It's kind of like the McRib....

Why can't I order a Shamrock Shake at my local McDonalds?
u cant order them this time of year but now there having like this mint shake for shrek or something
Reply:Whats a shamrock shake???????
Reply:You can only get those around st patty's day
Reply:They were typically only available around St. Patrick's Day, and this year, instead of the Shamrock Shake, they had the big Shrek promotion and called it the "Minty Mud Pie" or some such thing. McDonald's really only has three flavors (Vanilla, Chocolate, and Strawberry) for their shakes. They tend to reserve special flavors (like mint or pumpkin pie) for holidays and special promotions.

If you get the McD version of Dairy Queen's Blizzard, you can add M%26amp;Ms or Oreo cookies to a Vanilla shake and have a different kind of treat.
Reply:They run out of Shamrocks on March 18th and they hire the Lepruchans only on March 17th, so if they were to sell them after that, well they'd have a union problem.
Reply:Its not St Pats day
Reply:If that's the green shake, maybe it's because they only run that special around St Patrick's Day.
Reply:They're seasonal. Only available around St. Patricks Day
