Who will win the Ortiz-Shamrock fight?
At first I didnt like Tito too much, but now I think he is alright. Ortiz will knock him out. Shamrock is too old. Do you think if Shamrock was in his prime that he would beat him?

Well, Ken Shamrock, Tank Abbot, Kasushi Sakuraba, Don Frye, Josh Barnett, and other MMA fighters have done wrestling, they have to pay bills after all.
They were all great MMA fighters who tried wrestling for the money.
There's been other wrestlers who have tried to do MMA, Sean O'haire comes to mind, he's not doing well so far, Bam Bam Bigelow tried it too and he was quickly dispatched by Kimo Leopoldo , so he never tried it again.
Brock Lesnar was first and foremost and collegiate wrestler, he had a VERY impressive record, that reason alone is what gives him a chance in MMA.
His career in wrestling also helped him pay the bills, and grow a huge phisique that the job required.
Let's see how he does, time will tell if he can be succesful.

#1 If you have limewire you can seach thier video database and see what it comes up with. If you do not have limewire you can download it at www.limewire.com
#2 You can also try bearshare. It is alot like limewire and they might have it there in thier video data base. If you don't have that you can also download it at www.bearshare.com. I belive that is the addy.

Ken was always overrated; his only victory over a "good" fighter was against Dan Severn, who later avenged the loss. Royce demolished him in the first fight and was clearly the aggressor in the second, with Ken clinging to his gi for dear life. Royce and Rickson both beat Ken.
Frank is a different story. He was one of the first complete fighters. He would most likely beat Royce. I would have killed to see him fight Rickson back in 2000. But, after seeing his performance against Renzo, I have no doubt Rickson would smash him. Why? Takedown defense. Renzo took him down at will (something Rickson is better at doing). Frank isn't known for his KO power, which is really his only chance to beat Rickson. As soon as the fight hits the ground, which it undoubtedly will, Rickson would turn on his brutal Gn'P untill Frank gives up an arm trying to escape.
That said, here's how the fight would go: Royce cheers Rickson on from the sidelines as Rickson defeats Ken, then Frank, by armbar.

Why Is Ken Shamrock In The Hall of Fame?
I am not a Shamrock fan, pretty much hate him but he deserves to be in the Hall of Fame. He was one of the originals in the sport back when it was more of a freak show than a sport. He helped pave the way for fighetrs of today, he was a champion, he was a pioneer, and he fought in some huge fights. He was in some historic fighst from his fights versus the great Royce Gracie to Dan Severn to his feud with Tito Ortiz. He has also helped train a number of very good young fighers and has been a face for the sport. He is an extremely influential fighter who has left his mark on the game. As much as I hate Shamrock he is worthy of the Hall of Fame.

In my opinion, Frank is a way better, well rounded fighter than Chuck. Frank has victories over the way better competition. This isn't about personalities, it seems that all of the Shamrocks need help there, but if you're looking at it from a pure fighting standpoint, Shamrock stops or submits Liddel in the second round.

Reply:Only if you are against tattoos! As you probably know Gaelic Scottish families are branches of Gaelic families from the north of Ireland who settled northern Great Britain and turned it into Scotland.
If you know which Scottish clan you wish to represent you could investigate their tartan and use that as the plaid on your shamrock.
Another idea: instead of a plaid shamrock get a tattoo of shamrock and a thistle (national flower symbol of Scotland) and have the stems intertwined.

Reply:Only if you are against tattoos! As you probably know Gaelic Scottish families are branches of Gaelic families from the north of Ireland who settled northern Great Britain and turned it into Scotland.
If you know which Scottish clan you wish to represent you could investigate their tartan and use that as the plaid on your shamrock.
Another idea: instead of a plaid shamrock get a tattoo of shamrock and a thistle (national flower symbol of Scotland) and have the stems intertwined.

I admit he might be better to watch than some superstars but I didn't like him when he was in the WWE in the first place. They called him the World's Most Dangerous Man, and yet he lost more matches than he won. I do have to say, his best match was the Lion's Den's match or the Hart Family Dungeon match. If he was to come back, he'd probably go to ECW and work on there, b/c he might make it on Smackdown, but not on Raw.

My mother has this saying.."We're so lucky!" so I'm doing it for her in the form of a shamrock. Is this a good idea? Any other ideas? I have never gotten a tattoo. I am thinking above my ankle and about 1.5 inches to 2 inches tall and wide in green and outlined in black.

It would be a great match and I think Kurt Angle would win. I think he's meaner and more vicious than Shamrock. He's got an animal ferocity even more intense than Shamrock's. I don't think Angle would win with the Ankle Lock, though. Shamrock uses it, too, and would know how to counter/reverse it. Angle would need a more immobilizing submission hold, such as the STF or the Gogoplata. I think the STF is more Angle's style and I could easily see him using this hold to make Shamrock tap.

It would be a great match and I think Kurt Angle would win. I think he's meaner and more vicious than Shamrock. He's got an animal ferocity even more intense than Shamrock's. I don't think Angle would win with the Ankle Lock, though. Shamrock uses it, too, and would know how to counter/reverse it. Angle would need a more immobilizing submission hold, such as the STF or the Gogoplata. I think the STF is more Angle's style and I could easily see him using this hold to make Shamrock tap.

I will be going to hongkong.. which is the better hotel shamrock or bp international?
i have not been to both hotel so i don't know which one is better.. my priority is the ammenities and the room type..

despite what ken shamrock did in UFC he never was good in wrestling, if he wasnt famous from MMA he would have been on dark matches or velocity. Brock was one of the best things to happen in wrestling. Ken was one of the worst.

Brock Lesnar would eat him up now. People forget that Brock Lesnar was a great amateur wrestler before getting into pro wrestling. Brock is too big and powerful for Ken right now. Brock would just take him down at will. Probably would be a boring MMA fight, but Brock would win on points.

I think that Tito will punish Shamrock. He could probably end the fight quickly, but will draw it out for the fun of beating on Shamrock. Remember what Shamrock's face looked like last time? It's gonna be much, much worse. Look for something career ending.

I need help with a tattoo design!!! shamrock with ND and fightin irish?
so im thinking about getting a tattoo with a green shamrock and then possibly getting a blue or gold ND in the center and Fightin Irish under the shamrock.

Bruce wrote down in the Tao of JKD, that when two fighters faught, once they clash, they will soon go into a grappling game.
his tools for grappling were:
wrestling: strangulation (hair control)
leg tackles
and tie ups.
judo: joint locks
chockes
leverage timing.
he also conditioned his body very much as a pro would.
general: running and flexibility
and this is important he specialised in: boxing, kicking, wrestling.
and for strenght, he did weights, and "Special aparatus" the dude invented his own kick pads and warrior pads for training purposes.
so yeah, if he was alive his strategy in place for winning only and the minimus ammount of time, although the other dude has a weight advantage...but bruce also knew about human nutrition, so if the weights were the same, my soul would be on Bruce.

I was taking the mick out of this barman once, in a jovial leg-pulling kind of way. When he gave me my Guiness, instead of a shamrock he'd drawn a mighty fine c0ck. It even had a jap's eye. He definitely had the last laugh there.
Does any body know how to put a shamrock on a pint of Guinness or am i a dying breed?

Yes well if you add details to your question and keep changing your question and make a statement rather than asking a question - who cares really just cut a piece of shamrock and chuck it on top of the Guiness and let it stand on your mantlepiece as an ornament - while everyone else will just drink it - as long as it has a good head and it tastes ok who cares!

Tito won the third fight in the same manner as the second fight. The only exception is that is lasted a tad bit longer before Big John (instead of Herb Dean) stopped the fight in the first round due to unanswered blows.

Frank Shamrock suspended for behavior in fight with Baroni?
I've heard that Frank is facing a suspension for his behavior in the fight against Baroni, some people think it was because of his excessive taunting and motioning he was going to put Baroni to sleep but thats happened in lots of fights it seems pretty obvious to me that it was because he pushed and then kicked Phil Baroni while he was unconcious, it was completely disrespectful and uncalled for. Matter of fact it was so disgusting that you can only see it if you watched it live, it was edited out of the Showtime replay. Yeah Frank dominated Baroni and may have even be injured doing it but he lost all of my respect. I totally agree he should be suspended that kind of behavior in the ring/cage is unexceptable, what do you think?

Reply:I watched the fight on Showtime and saw the push and kick. Not that it was right, but did you notice in the replays that Frank's leg was pinned under Phil's body when it was over? Frank wanted out of there. That's just the way Frank is. Short on temper, fast on actions.
As for Frank's supension, I was unaware of that. However, I just picked up the following from the Sherdog MMA site, dated July 3rd. Interesting reading.
Middleweight Phil Baroni tested positive for Boldenone and Stanozolol Metabolites, the California State Athletic Commission announced Tuesday afternoon. The 31-year-old from Long Island, New York has been fined $2,500 and suspended 365 days from the conclusion of his loss against Frank Shamrock on June 22 in San Jose. The final 51 days of that suspension will be fulfilled at the start of Baroni's next licensing year, should he decide to reapply.
Looks like Phil is in trouble for sure.

It was hyped as a fight with a personal edge to it and I think Showtime and the organization have to take some responsibility for it also-not just Shamrock. Also in a match like that where there are bad intentions or bad blood exists the refs have to be very quick to step in and assert themselves. While I don't think that the referee was a factor in this match per say a short suspension and fine would be in order to help serve notice to any and all fighters in the future that they want a professional contest or fight, rules are enforced, and a certain amount of responsibility is born by each fighter for his actions at the end of the fight after the match was ended or before it is officially started. As for his actions during the fight with the taunting it is nothing more than one fighter playing head games being played and the ref can step in and stop that at the appropriate time also and if I remember right I believe he did and he told them to fight or to keep fightng.
While I don't know Shamrock personally I think he may look at a short suspension and a small fine with an open mind and admit that he broke the rules a little after the match had ended and some kind of penalty was in order. The other point about all this is of course that you enforce those rules and penalties on everyone equally across the board.

These things make me not like MMA because I do not want to associate myself with other MMA fans like that. You never see Fedor talking sh*t, Randy Couture never disrespects anybody neither does the Iceman. I root for all the guys with class and hope those other guys that disrespect get their azz handed to them. Shamrock and Baroni have been talking bad about each other for years. This is what happens when you get two alpha males together on a big stage with everyone kissing their azz and telling how great they are. Personally I wish they would all just shut the f*ck up and fight.

Bottom line they should suspend him and bring him back to the reality.
