Are shamrock tattoos considered cool?

My mother has this saying.."We're so lucky!" so I'm doing it for her in the form of a shamrock. Is this a good idea? Any other ideas? I have never gotten a tattoo. I am thinking above my ankle and about 1.5 inches to 2 inches tall and wide in green and outlined in black.

Getting a tattoo based on meaning is much better than getting one because it's "cool", fads change, something you and your mother share probably won't. I say go for it, it's a sweet idea. :]

i would try something else. maybe a horseshoe? not the best but it would be better than a shamrock

Reply:I would go a little smaller, but almost everyone I know has a shamrock tattoo. And the ankle area is very popular.

Reply:You cant worry about what is considered "cool" because that is constantly changing. Even if you got whate ever is the "coolest" thing right now, it likely wouldnt be in 2,10, 20 years, but you will still have it.





If it has meaning to you, then get it.....that is the best thing for a tattoo, something with personal meaning to you, that will not be something that will change with fads.
