How did Ken Shamrock get the nickname of "The World's Most Dangerous Man?"?

Just wondering what the story is behind the name????

How did Ken Shamrock get the nickname of "The World's Most Dangerous Man?"?
He has beat down everybody they ever matched up against him in no holds barred all out fighting, without a weapon, who is tougher?
Reply:He was a badass when the UFC was brand new. Back in the days of Haymakers and Slugfests. Since then he is way outclassed and a washed up old man.
Reply:Because he had such a high GPA before he dropped out of high school.
Reply:marketing. UFC uses nicknames on most fighters.

there was a time , years ago, when he was very good. he was champ in UFC and maybe Pride fighting or even maybe some other league. the sport passed him by. he got old, didnt adapt, stayed in it too long. should have quit a few years ago.

he left UFC and went to world wrestling federation at one time. possibly mcMahon gave him the name to promote. i think that he did.

i might be wrong about him winning championships. another poster said that he didnt, the other poster is probably right. shamrock was a pioneer though.
Reply:He built a reputation as a bad *** in the early years of the UFC. He never won a championship but he has been instrumental in the UFC being what it is today. Other than that he is to be admired for making things come along like they have. He is nuts, hes going to get his *** kicked again by Tito.
Reply:You ever look in that guys eyes before I think that explains it all he's a pretty intense dude, I wouldn't want to get in the ring with him. I think he use to be an ultimate fighter or something along those lines at one time too.
Reply:because he kept brakin superstars' ankle with his ankle lock so he was dangerous in that sorta way
