I know they fought at UFC 17, but I just watched UFC 17 and the fight was not shown. According to Wikipedia, the fight was taped for a later pay-per-view broadcast. Anyone know when it was shown? I'd like to watch it but don't know which event to watch.

How do you draw a shamrock in guiness?
dip a straw or q-tip in green food coloring and just draw it in the head of the beer.
Reply:It is done when pouring the beer.
You move the glass around as the beer is being filled.
Use one continuous motion, start aat the base (stem) of the shamrock then move up to do each of the points, which are small circles.
It only works in guiness and kilkenny (or similar style beers) as the head retention on these is much much higher. If you have pourn the beer properly it will stay on the beer after every sip and will still be the last thing left in the glass.
Takes a bit of practice but you should get it after a few pours.

Shamrock plant: how to care for?
I have mine in Medium sun. It opens during the day, closes at night. It flowers, they die, and it flowers again. The soil always seems wet...never need to be watered

I do. I think Frank has a better record but he is old with bad knees, ripe to be upset. Everyone is soo impressed with his win over Baroni that they forgot to see that Baroni walk out of the ring by himself, while Frank had to be helped out because he was exhausted after only 2 rounds.
Who think Cung Le has a chance against Frank Shamrock?
Everyone is underestimating Shamrock's striking skills. I have seen several fights by both, and I would rate Shamrock a better puncher than Cung Le. In his sanshou fights Le relied on his kicks and sweeps to score points and do damage; I never saw him hurt anyone with his hands. I think Shamrock will be able to handle his kicks, dish out some punishment of his own with his hands, then secure a takedown and choke him out in round 1.

On the other hand, San Shou is big on takedowns, so I would assume that Cung Le can do a fair job of warding them off.
I'd prefer that Le won, and I think that it's possible. Still, money on Shamrock.

Chung is an artist, and Shamrock a fighter. Chung will stop short of crippling an opponent and show a certain measure of honor, Frank Shamrock has no such distraction and will not hesitate crippling an opponent. This innate viciousness works in Shamrocks favor.
Chung will dominate the striking aspect of this match, but the real questions about Chung and MMA will be answered when Shamrock takes Chung down and they grapple.

Geez...now I have a craving for a Shamrock Shake. Thanks a lot! It vaguely tasted like mint and green food dye.

I am trying to bake shamrock shaped cookies, but they lose shape whilst cooking?
and they end up in a big blob by the time they are done. I've tried freezing the shapes before putting them in the oven, but that doesn't seem to work either. I'm using a regular choc chip cookie recipe that I've used hundreds of times before, but not to make shapes. Can someone please help me? should I be using another recipe?

You are using the wrong kind of dough. You need a dough that can be rolled out and cut with a cutter...

The second is to make sure you whip up your fat and sugars really well - any shape will spread too much if you don't. I usually shoot for at least 2 minutes on medium high speed; it should be really light and fluffy. Your dough should be really thick when you go to cut your shapes.
If neither of these help then I would suggest baking them as you would a bar cookie - spread the batter on a jelly roll pan (cookie sheet with sides) and bake. Let them set up a few minutes after they come out of the oven. Then while the cookie is still soft cut out the shapes. This will obviously waste some of the dough, but you can always eat the scraps.

Instead of fighting his own fight and trying to win as soon as possible he insists on trying to humiliate fighters by beating them at their own game. To his credit he bullied Phil Baroni with his fists. But fighting Le at stand up cost him his title and probably a half a year of recovery time. Was it worth it?

An excellent question. If there is a rematch down the road (and I hope there is), then we may find out. Sometimes that which makes a fighter a good fighter also at times makes them weaker and things do happen like last night to even good fighters. Remember what happened to Ali when he fought what many thought was only a fair fighter by the name of Kenny Norton the first time. Everyone thought Ali would devastate him and on paper it stacked up that way but when Norton broke Ali's jaw early in the fight it changed the course of the fight and Norton won. My guess is that Shamrock will be more careful but Lees ability, skill, and experience are also going to grow in the meantime.

I know it's easier said than done but it wasn't a blowout. Noe Cung Le is one hell of a fighter, I have never seen a MMA fighter with such quick fluid kicks like that

I guess something happened to his arm? Just wanted to know if anyone knows the details of what actually happened to him.

A bone in his forearm was broken in two by one of Cung's kicks. He had to have a metal plate inserted. If you listen to the interview at the end of the fight, Cung says he knew Frank's arm was injured from earlier in the fight, so he kept attacking it. Below is a good article about the fight:

Reply:He checked a high kick near the end of the third round and it broke his arm. Was probably hurting before that but that did it.
You could tell between rounds that he was trying to fight it off, but it was too much and he just lay down on the canvas in pain.

A bone in his forearm was broken in two by one of Cung's kicks. He had to have a metal plate inserted. If you listen to the interview at the end of the fight, Cung says he knew Frank's arm was injured from earlier in the fight, so he kept attacking it. Below is a good article about the fight:

You could tell between rounds that he was trying to fight it off, but it was too much and he just lay down on the canvas in pain.

If you have a printer, you can definately make your own easily. If you go to any image search (www.google.com and click on images) and search for a picture of a shamrock. Find one you like, and print it (color or b%26amp;w it doesn't matter) Then cut out the shamrock and trace it on wax paper. Then cut out the wax paper. The wax paper can be used over and over again and won't get ruined, whereas printer paper starts to get soggy. My grandmother used to do this all the time, and it works really well.

Might be it needs a rest. Mine has been dormant all winter and is just now starting to come alive. Don't water it, let it die back and then start watering it again in about a month. They are bulbs, you don't want them to rot. Good luck!

Why is Frank Shamrock starting to be a poor sport during fights?
I didn't mind when he made "sleeping" gestures to Phil Baroni during their fight because that guy was a punk, fixing his hair in the mirror before the fight and taunting Shamrock first. But, Cung Le never talked any shiit and Shamrock game him the same "sleeping" gesture for no reason. I wonder now if he wishes he would have thought that one through a little more.

Whether or not Shamrock is an asshole in reality is a question I can't answer, but I can say for sure that at least some of it is just a show.

This was a super friendly competition, and both fighters had the utmost respect for the other. Shamrock and Le were actually training partners.. Because he promotes fights with his showmanship, antics and trash talking. In reality, he and Cung Le are friends and Shamrock felt the only way he could promote the fight was as the bad guy. When the tubular starts to grow above the soil then it is time to replant.
There is no great way of doing it. I usually dump it all out and start over. I clean all the tubular and make sure I put them back in the soil facing up. Sometimes my tubulars get so long I have to break them. It is okay to do that. I stick my finger down in the soil to make a long hole and put it down in the soil and cover it up. You will find that the Shamrock tubular multiply like rabbits.
I have them in my laundry room window. What I do not replant and give away I throw away.
Reply:In my opinion I would wait until the spring unless it is so rootbound that you think it will choke. Otherwise it will do well as is. They grow from little tubers and they probably won't like to be disturbed until they are in growing mode. That's my opinion but you can go to a houseplant website to find out more. good luck
